CAILBA reached out to me to overhaul their dated site and give their overall digital presence a facelift. CAILBA is a Canadian association that works with its members to implement and support the fair treatment of consumers. It is a voice for MGAs nationwide.

I began with dissecting main components of the old site and creating new ones to replace them. CAILBA wanted to modernize their look while still utilizing their main brand colors and natural themed imagery. Using a grid system, I established a complete style guide and design system for the site, including both desktop and mobile configurations. The design guide and system was created with the future of the website in mind, as CAILBA chooses to update and tweak their pages themselves.

After establishing several additional components with the goal to switch them in and out depending on what each new page required, I began populating the pages with information and copy from the old site. Once the desktop mockups were complete and approved, I began the mobile mockups. Working with the design system and interchangeable component system in tandem allowed me to make quick changes based on client approval.

I particularly enjoyed the way I set up the working Figma file for this project, being thorough and meticulous about the design system made for a very quick workflow when switching from different components and font categories.
